For those with sensitive stomachs: Calcium ascorbate may be a better option due to its lower acidity. 

Ascorbic acid and calcium ascorbate are both forms of vitamin c, but they differ in their chemical structure and properties. 

• Ascorbic acid is acidic, while calcium ascorbate is neutral.  
• Absorption: Calcium ascorbate is absorbed more slowly than ascorbic acid, which can be irritating to the stomach. 

For best results, mix a rounded 1/4 teaspoon into four to six ounces of warm water and stir well. Take one time daily or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
